PTV Productions Announces Season Two Renewal of STAR PORTRAITS, Returning Fall 2010 on Bravo!

TORONTO, ON (February 4, 2010) – PTV Productions announced today that they are producing another 13 episodes of the much-loved portraiture series, STAR PORTRAITS, featuring 13 new celebrity guests and an eclectic mix of Canadian artists set to air on Bravo! this Fall.

Hosted by Louise Pitre, STAR PORTRAITS is an innovative program that combines the art of portraiture with celebrity biography. In each episode, three artists create their interpretation of a well-known Canadian personality. In return, viewers learn a little more about the process of portraiture, as well as some intimate and personal stories from some of Canada’s favourite celebrities. The celebrity then chooses one portrait to keep for themselves.

Past homegrown celebrities featured on STAR PORTRAITS include The Amazing Kreskin, Alex Trebek, Colin Mochrie, Debbie Travis, Enrico Colantoni, Elvis Stojko, Senator Romeo Dallaire, George Chuvalo, Margaret Trudeau, Senator Pamela Wallin, Ashley MacIsaac, and Measha Brueggergosman.

STAR PORTRAITS is based on a format created and devised by Hotbed Media. Executive Producers are Andrea Nemtin and Ian Dunbar of PTV Productions.

Season One of STAR PORTRAITS is currently in rotation, airing Saturday nights at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT on Bravo! (Encore presentations air Wednesdays at 9:30 p.m. ET / 6:30 p.m. PT until Mar. 6). Fans can also enjoy the series on demand online at www.bravo.ca.
